Matthew 16:26 For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life? Luke 24:46-47 Thus it is written, that the Messiah is to suffer and to rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins is to be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. Proverbs 3:12 The Lord reproves the one he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights. God doesn't discipline us because He enjoys inflicting pain but rather, He is deeply concerned for our development. In fact, God does it out of love; He is the source of all love.
