REFERENCE SCRIPTURE SOCIAL STATUS
Philippians 2:1-2 If then there is any encouragement in Christ, any consolation from love, any sharing in the Spirit, any compassion and sympathy, make my joy complete: be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind What can you do to demonstrate Christ's example of putting others first today?
Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Sefishness brings discord to a church, but genuine humility can build it.
Philippians 2:4 Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. How can you show genuine interest in others in maintaining unity among your fellow believers?
Philippians 2:5-7 Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. Will you choose to be served or to serve?
Philippians 2:8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death— even death on a cross. How amazing that Jesus died on the cross so that we would not have to face eternal punishment!
Philippians 2:10-11 At the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Are you prepared to meet God?
Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed me, not only in my presence, but much more now in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. How have you been working out your salvation?
Philippians 2:13 For it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Don't feel like obeying God? Trust God to change your desires and He will work out the rest.
Matthew 21:32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him; and even after you saw it, you did not change your minds and believe him. Our words should always match our actions.
Exodus 20:2-3 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery; you shall have no other gods before me. How are you spending your time? Always remember to let God hold the central place in your life.
Exodus 20:4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Careful about the things you are spending time on!
Exodus 20:7 You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name. Respect His Name and use it appropriately, using it in praise rather than in curse.
Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy. To observe a regular time of rest and worship shows God's importance in our lives. How are you spending your "Sabbath day"?
Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. This is the first commandment with a promise.
Psalm 19:1 The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. As you look at God's creation, never forget to thank Him for such magnificent beauty.
Psalm 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the decrees of the Lord are sure, making wise the simple; God's laws make us wise.
Psalm 19:8 The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is clear, enlightening the eyes. Let God's Word be our light in our daily walk with Him.
Psalm 19:9 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. Rather than chains on our hands and feet, God's precepts are guidelines for our path.
Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. As you begin each day, pray that God will guide you on what to say and think.
Philippians 3:7 Yet whatever gains I had, these I have come to regard as loss because of Christ. Remember C.T. Studd's poem, "only what’s done for Christ will last."
Philippians 3:8 More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and I regard them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ What are you willing to change or give up to have Christ?
Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but one that comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God based on faith. Righteousness only comes from God and we are made righteous by trusting in Jesus Christ.
Philippians 3:10 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings by becoming like him in his death. To know Christ, what are the things you want to give up?
Philippians 3:11 Not that I have already obtained this or have already reached the goal; but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Just as Christ was exalted after His resurrection, so one day we will share Christ's glory.
Philippians 3:13 Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. Still hung up on your past? Look forward to a fuller and more meaningful life because of your hope in Christ.
Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus. Don't dwell on the past. You are forgiven so, you can live a life of faith and obedience.
Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen. Have you accepted God's invitation?
Exodus 33:14 He said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Feeling tired of life? Remeber God's promise through this verse.
Exodus 33:17 The Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing that you have asked; for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.” We are privileged to be in God's family for He knows our name and our needs.
1 Thessalonians 1:6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for in spite of persecution you received the word with joy inspired by the Holy Spirit. In times of suffering and painful moments, trudt confidently on Christ.
Matthew 22:21 Then he said to them, “Give therefore to the emperor the things that are the emperor’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” This is how we should give.
1 Thessalonians 2:4 But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the message of the gospel, even so we speak, not to please mortals, but to please God who tests our hearts. Our methods in sharing the Gospel could be change but the Message of God should never be compromised!
Matthew 22:37 He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment." Rather than worrying on what we can not do for God, we should focus on what we CAN DO in showing our love for God.
Matthew 22:39 And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ This is the second greatestt commandment we should follow.
Psalm 99:5 Extol the Lord our God; worship at his footstool. Holy is he! When we humble ourselves before God and believe in Him, we are made Holy.
