1 John 1:5 God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. Light represents what is good, pure, true and holy. Just as darkness cannot exist in the presence of the light, sin cannot exist in the presence of the Holy God. If we wanted to have a relationship with God, we must set aside our sinful ways of living.
1 John 1:7 If we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. Real cleansing from sin came from Jesus.
1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. In this life, we are all capable of sinning, so we should not let our guard down.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. God will not push us away no matter what we've done. Instead, He will draw us to Him.
1 John 2:1-2 If anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. Are you feeling guilty and condemned? This verse offers reassurance that we are forgiven in our sins. In Him, we are forgiven and purified.
1 John 2:5-6 Whoever obeys his word, truly in this person the love of God has reached perfection. By this we may be sure that we are in him: whoever says, “I abide in him,” ought to walk just as he walked. True Christian faith results in a loving behavior.
1 John 2:9 Whoever says, “I am in the light,” while hating a brother or sister, is still in the darkness. Christian love is a not a feeling but a choice. We can choose to be concerned with people's well being and treat them with respect, whether or not we feel affection towards them.
1 John 2:10 Whoever loves a brother or sister lives in the light, and in such a person there is no cause for stumbling. Are you living in the light or hiding in darkness?
1 John 2:11 But whoever hates another believer is in the darkness, walks in the darkness, and does not know the way to go, because the darkness has brought on blindness. If we choose to love others, God will help us express our love.
Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times." We should always forgive -- no matter how many times they ask.
Psalm 103:8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord may be merciful and gracious but it shouldn't be an excuse to validate sinning.
Mark 11:24 Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. What are you praying for recently?
Mark 11:25 Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. Let go of hurts, abandon grudges, and forgive others.
Colossians 3:12 As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. This is the strategy to live like God day by day.
Colossians 3:13 Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Realizing God's infinite love and forgiveness can help you love and forgive others.
Ephesians 4:26-27 Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not make room for the devil. Are you angry with someone right now? What can you do to resolve your differences?
Ephesians 4:31-32 Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling and slander, together with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you. Those who are unwilling to forgive have not become one with Christ, who was willing to forgive even those who crucified Him.
2 Corinthians 2:10 Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive. What I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ. Learn to forgive others just as God has forgiven you.
Luke 17:3 Be on your guard! If another disciple sins, you must rebuke the offender, and if there is repentance, you must forgive. To rebuke means to bring sin to a person's attention with the purpose of restoring him to God and to fellow believers. Do you need to rebuke someone? Remember, unless the rebuke is tied to forgiveness, it will not help the sinning person.
Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Whenever we ask God to forgive us for sinning, we should ask ourselves, "Have I forgiven the people who have wronged me?"
Psalm 86:4 Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. Sometimes our trouble or pain is so great that all we can do is cry out to God for healing. In difficult times, trust that God will sustain you because He is a God who answers prayers.
Psalm 86:5 For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you. Thank God for His steadfast love today.

Psalm 103:2-4 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits— who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy. God has always given us more than what we deserve even though we are unworthy. It's a good time to praise Him for all the things He has done for us.
Micah 7:18 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of your possession? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in showing clemency. God does not forgive grudgingly but He is glad when we repent, and He offers forgiveness to all who come to Him.
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. In Christ, we have all the benefits of knowing God: experiencing salvation, forgiveness, power to do God's will, and spending etenity with Christ.
Ephesians 1:5 He destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will. Have you entered into a loving relationship with God? If not, ask your pastor how.

Colossians 1:13 He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son. We have been rescued from a rebel kingdom to serve the rightful King. Our conduct should reflect our new allegiance.

Luke 7:50 And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” Do you appreciate the wideness of God's mercy?
Psalm 32:2 Happy are those to whom the Lord imputes no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. We can have the joyous experience of forgiveness through faith in Christ.
Psalm 32:4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Forgiveness has always been part of God's loving nature. There's no such thing as "too late". Surrender your sins to God and He will forgive you.
